If you drive an Audi with a 2.0T engine, chances are you’ve seen the dreaded Check Engine Light and the code P0299 – Turbocharger Underboost Condition. This code means your turbo isn’t producing enough boost pressure, which can cause poor acceleration, reduced power, and higher fuel consumption.

Fortunately, TurboBend was built to make fixing P0299 fast, accurate, and DIY-friendly — even if you’re not a professional mechanic.

In this guide, we’ll walk you step-by-step through how to use the TurboBend diagnostic and calibration tool to identify and fix the P0299 issue on any Audi 2.0T engine, including models like:

  • Audi A3, A4, A5

  • Audi Q3, Q5

  • Audi TT and Allroad

  • Audi 2.0 TSI, P0299 Code (underboost) fix using turbobend tool.

  • In the Audi AWD or FWD, you need to remove under cover to have access to the actuator rod.
  • Insert the turbobend tool around the actuator rod, in AWD it will be on the passenger side between the engine block and the turbocharger body.
  • On the FWD it will be on the form of the engine.
  • On both AWD and FWD cars you need to access to the rod from underneath the car.
  • turn the knop clockwise and press the hydraulic pump until it stops and you cannot press any more.
  • Release the knop counterclockwise to release the tool.
  • The under-boost code P0299 should disappear soon. some time you need to clear the code using OBDII scanner.
  • You should feel instant boost after the fix.
  • Please allow some driving time for the ECU to relearn and adopt the new boost and for the code to be permanently cleared.  usually 20-30 minutes of driving.
  • Now and with the fraction of the cost, you have another ~80k plus miles to go with no P0299 code and with the joy of a fully strong and powerful engine.
