Tiguan P0299 Code (underboost) fix using turbobend tool.
You need to get to the actuator rod from underneath the car.
In the Tiguan, you need to remove the mounting bracket that mount the turbo to the engine (very easy) to have an easy access to the actuator rod.
Use correct triple square socket.
Insert the turbobend tool around the actuator rod, turn the knop clockwise and press the hydraulic pump until it stops and you cannot press any more.
Release the knop counterclockwise to release the tool.
The under-boost code P0299 should disappear soon. some time you need to clear the code using OBDII scanner.
You should feel instant boost after the fix.
Please allow some driving time for the ECU to relearn and adopt the new boost and for the code to be permanently cleared. usually 20-30 minutes of driving.
